Was it the beautiful weather or the free food that drew people in droves to the April 26 mediabistro party at Busboys and Poets? While we may never be able to answer that question fully, there is no doubt that the Langston Room was packed that night—and we hope the partygoers were there for the dazzling company and to check out Create magazine. Our hearty thanks go out to the Create team, represented that evening by Craig Cherry and Brenda Raza, who came all the way from Florida to find out how things are done in D.C. While co-host Lisa Gschwandtner had to dash off a few minutes early to further hone her improv skills, she was there in spirit, of course, through the very end. Special thanks also to our incredible photographer, Christopher Anderson, and to our dedicated volunteers Zerline Jennings, Lawanda Amaker and Renee Sonsine. We could not have handled the multitudes without you!
