Over 75 media professionals tasted wines from local vinters at the Washington Tasting Room in Seattle's historic Pike Place Market. The crisp fall day gave way to a brisk evening ideal for gathering a bunch of journos in a cozy wine cave to mingle and meet Paul Beveridge (that's really his name), owner of Wilridge Winery. The atmosphere brimmed with media scuttlebut about Seattle Magazine's sudden competition and a possible lawsuit. With a great mix of folks from TV, print, radio and book publishing, the mb event started fall on a sweet note, not unlike the Apex ice wine that seemed to be a crowd favorite.
