Party Photos: The Writers Party in Philadelphia
Mediabistro.com celebrated the launch of Sasha Issenberg's new book The Sushi Economy courtesy of Philly's best sushi spot: Morimoto, the flagship restaurant of Iron Chef Morimoto.
As we sipped Morimoto Junmai Daiginjo sake and feasted on rock shrimp tempura rolls and breathtaking sashimi, Sasha regaled us with tales of how the fish got from Japan to our lucky plates. We talked about Japanese fishing boats, global business relationships, and how chef Nobu Matsuhisa, Morimoto's mentor, developed his innovative recipes.
Writers, designers, producers, editors, sushi, cocktails, and Kobe beef short rib spring rollsthat's a recipe for a great party.
