| Details | As the casting director's contribution to film, television and theatre becomes ever more recognizable, it is by nature that the same is true of the profession itself. In an ongoing effort to maintain a high standard of professionalism and artistic integrity within this field The Casting Career Seminar Series organized with the Casting Society of America (CSA) is a unique, premiere series of educational seminars / open forums for students and young adults who wish to pursue a career in theatrical casting for film, television and theatre. We have constructed this unique series of which the introduction is on April 9th. With the changing climate of the modern business model, we feel it our responsibility, as professionals and educators to foster upcoming generations. Those that will receive the most benefit will most likely have production, filmmaking, and anything behind the scenes as part of their work and educational experiences. One can expect clarification at this event since the tools, skill sets and personality necessary to being a professional casting director still remain vague. The trajectory of what it takes to achieve this goal will also be explored. This is NOT for actors or any performing artists. Those who should think about a career in casting are folks that are impassioned by anything actor-based; love film, tv, theatre and any media and the idea of how it all comes together. Those who are fascinated by what it means & takes to create the colors of a production using actors to achieve the best creative and business level would be well-suited candidates. |
