Editor & Publisher Launches its Tenth Annual News Photos of the Year Contest

New York (July 6, 2009) - Starting today until September 14, Editor & Publisher (E&P) is accepting Photos of the Year submissions at www.editorandpublisher.com. This year, E&P has partnered with sister Nielsen brands Photo District News and IPNStock.com, its contest technology provider. It has doubled the number of categories and introduced other new features.

Newspaper print photos, online news photos, and video/multimedia published since September 13, 2008 are eligible for award consideration. Photos selected as E&P's Photos of the Week or Photos of the Month between September 13, 2008, and September 13, 2009, are automatically entered.

One grand prize winner will receive $1,000 and appear on the November 2009 cover of E&P. Twenty-four additional winners in six categories (spanning four circulation groups) will be honored, along with a top prize in the new "Unpublished" and "Web-only" categories. E&P will also recognize deserving photos with honorable mentions.
