Stephen King's Bones Picked Over At Fox News

We once heard Stephen King say that if you look back ten years after high school and think that those were the best years of your life - he wants nothing to do with you.

But Fox News needs them to laugh in and pile on! A writer - telling kids to read - what a loser. It's the best nerd bashing - geek punching prom ever!

Gong Show is Coming Back

6.jpg
We think there is a little Gong Show in all reality shows these days. You'll find it in the first couple of episodes of all the talent show formats. It's the parade of those desperate enough to do anything to be on TV. Those that can't sing. Those that only think they can dance. Those that can't remember lyrics etc.

Variety is saying that Dave Attell has been tapped to host the new Gong Show for Comedy Central.

We have sources that say the Gong Show tried to make a come back a couple of years ago but it never happened. Apparently PAs in lieu of casting directors were trolling local open-mikes asking 'talent' if they wanted to be on the Gong Show - the said PAs being too young to realize asking a self-appointed 'singer' and song writer to be on the Gong Show was an insult.

VH-1 Streamlines Their Reality Shows--Finally Shows Their Reality

LoveMoney.jpg
From Variety:

VH1 is readying "I Love Money," a spinoff of "Flavor of Love" that dispenses with the fiction that anyone involved with the show is looking for romance.

Skein, from 51 Minds Entertainment, features past contestants from "Flavor of Love," "Rock of Love" and "I Love New York" squaring off against one another in a series of reality show competitions. While "Flavor" and its past offspring were constructed to help celebrities such as Bret Michaels and Flavor Flav find "love," the new show will focus on the pursuit of cash prizes.

It's like BET's "Hell Date" where they finally stopped pretending we're watching "Blind Date" to see people fall in love. They cut out all the substance and went straight for the syrup.

In the same vein, we suggest a celebrity dancing show where all they do is fall down. Call it "Fumbling With the Stars". It'd be great!

Law and Order Depicts Theresa Duncan's Death

tandj2.jpg
But there was a twist - the writer character was murdered instead of committing suicide and the cult harassing her had a leader that isn't publishing books from the grave. Crazy. Plus on TV - the cult was totally innocent - it was the insane paranoia and hatred AT the cult that lead the husband to murder his wife and throw himself off a building to try and give the cult bad publicity. And it was that same paranoia and hatred that made him confess instead of accepting an impending mistrial.

Ripped from the headlines.

From Televisionwithoutpity.com:

I could only assume Systemotics=Scientology, but it wasn't exactly current, so I was uncertain about that.

I think we can assume it is. Jeremy Sisto mentioned in a recent interview that he enjoyed working on "... an episode about Scientology. I have friends who are Scientologists, so I hope they aren't offended."

We have friends that used to be Law and Order fans...they're offended.

FBLA Exclusive: Samantha Harris Would Welcome Paula Abdul

sharouc.jpgpaulpic.jpgTV Guide talks with Dancing With The Stars judges Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba about whether Paula Abdul should be a contestant on the upcoming season -- as if FOX would let her.

DWTS hostess Samantha Harris tells FBLA exclusively: "I've known Paula for years and would be ecstatic if she was on our show. She sure would up the game for the competitors but also would stir up controversy since she's known for her choreography! A little drama is always fun to mix things up!"

Polygamist Ranch Interview on the Today Show

Meredith Vieira asks what we've all been wondering,"...the style of your hair, can you explain the significance of that?"

We're going to go for the obvious answer and say - it's big hair and it's Texas.
