Diablo Cody's fifteen minutes have barely started and the backlash has begun. She missed the Critic's Choice Awards (confused by strike rules, and then a meeting ran late, and who knows what really happened) and commenters at the Gold Derby blog let fly:

All this gushing over Juno is beginning to sound like the gushing of the over-hyped, but mediocre yet awful Little Miss Sunshine...Juno is cutesy, but bland entertainment not worthy of Best Pic...the script is okay (there's far better written scripts out there and original at that) but Diablo Cody will get kudos because of her trendy name attached to a mediocre script. So much hype for this little mediocre film is just freakin' annoying.

But her MySpace friends are happy for her news that Karyn Kusama will direct Jennifer's Body. Because Aeon Flux was awesome. Just kidding.
