Back when we did a weekly listings post, we paid attention to author appearance information a little more closely. But this one seems pretty cool -- and it's from one of our favorite bookstores, so we decided to pimp it:

Political satirist and comedian, Bill Maher will be the special guest host at Flaunt magazine's Issues Issue release party featuring the launch of their inaugural 'Swag Bags for the Homeless' charity drive to benefit the Hollywood homeless population. The event is to be held poolside at the Roosevelt Hotel's Tropicana Bar on Thursday June 5th with music by a special guest DJ.

Flaunt invites all their guests to fill the provided bag, that doubles as the invitation, with clothes, hygiene and sanitary products, batteries, books and other useful items and bring it with them to the party. Flaunt will then be taking the items to various missions and shelters around Hollywood to distribute the goods.
