Comedy Central’s Guilty Pleasure

Four of the five nominees in today’s 2011 People’s Choice Awards category of “Favorite TV Guilty Pleasure” are instantly recognizable: Jersey Shore, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List and The Real Housewives of New Jersey. But who-what the heck is tosh.O?

For the unitiatied, tosh.O is a Comedy Central video clip compilation show hosted by American stand-up Daniel Tosh. It’s currently on hiatus until January 2011, but it has in the past outranked both Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert. Here’s a recent sampling by Tosh of three Jackass-like dance crazes sweeping the online nation:

The above video really picks up steam when Tosh prances around his production office, recreating each dance craze. And really, it’s hard not to appreciate a TV host who is counting down – via his official home page – to the 2013 date when he has promised to hang up the mike. Consider us new fans.
