AP Needs More Celebrities

paparazzi-5.jpg
In the future everybody will need to be famous for twenty minutes or more (we’re talking to you Spencer Pratt). Because the Associated Press wire service, according to Nikki Finke‘s Deadline Hollywood, is hiring 21 new employees in Los Angeles, New York and London to cover (drum roll) entertainment!

Finke writes:

Back in January, AP’s Los Angeles bureau told staffers that “now and for the foreseeable future, virtually everything involving Britney is a big deal.” Lou Ferrara, the AP’s managing editor for sports, entertainment and multimedia, explained to The New York Times that the news service’s more than 1,500 daily papers and thousands of other media outlets were hungering for more photos and videos of celebrities. He briefly referred to the AP’s entertainment expansion plans without elaborating.

Okay, celebrities now is your moment to shine. Better start getting interesting. We’re talking less Anna Nicole and more Gore Vidal. There are 21 new reporters that need something better to cover than your skin tags or lack of insight. Help them out.
