Blogging Pressman Returns to Work
Ed Padgett, the pressman suspended from his job for writing on his blog about production problems at the LA Times printing facilites, has been re-instated. He writes:
I return to the Los Angeles Times at 4:00 p.m. this afternoon and will meet with management tomorrow to discuss or clarify what content can be published online.
I would like to thank everyone for his or her support during these trying last few days.
Perhaps the tremendous hypocrisy of a newspaper censoring its employees finally occurred to management. Or not. We’ll have to wait and see what restrictions are placed on Padgett’s blog.
