Brittany Murphy Dead At 32
Actress Brittany Murphy died Sunday morning after going into cardiac arrest at her home in the Hollywood Hills. The cause of her sudden death is unknown, but officials from the coroner’s office say there are no indications of foul play. The Los Angeles police department has opened an investigation. TMZ is reporting that the actress was taking prescription medications for flu-like symptoms in the days leading up to her death, and that the morning she died she became quite ill and began vomiting.
Murphy’s husband, Simon Monjack, requested that her body not be autopsied. However, the coroner’s office is expected to perform an autopsy today or Tuesday.
Murphy is best known for her roles in the films “Clueless,” “8 Mile,” “Girl, Interrupted,” and “Just Married.” But we loved her the most as the voice of Luanne on the TV show “King of the Hill.” Still hard to believe an actress from Jersey could portray a Texan so believably.
