Former Little House Star Picks Up Where Corey Feldman Left Off

As we reported in August, an interview given by Corey Feldman to Nightline alleging that pedophilia is rampant in Hollywood begs for a more thorough journalistic investigation. That hasn’t quite happened, yet, but with the recent LA Times revelations about casting associate Jason James Murphy and last week’s indictment of LA personal manager Marty Weiss, the issue is front and center once again.

Most notably via a December 5 FoxNews.com report by Meaghan Murphy. Among those the reporter spoke to was 49-year-old former Little House on the Prairie star Alison Arngrim (pictured), who detailed her own personal experiences with sexual abuse in the 2010 book Confessions of a Prairie Bitch. On the heels of Feldman’s August allegations, she shares some equally shocking recollections:

“This has been going on for a very long time,” concurs Arngrim. “It was the gossip back in the ‘80s. People said, ‘Oh yeah, the Coreys [Feldman, Haim], everyone’s had them.’ People talked about it like it was not a big deal…”

“I literally heard that they were ‘passed around,’” Arngrim said. “The word was that they were given drugs and being used for sex. It was awful–these were kids, they weren’t 18 yet. There were all sorts of stories about everyone from their, quote, ‘set guardians’ on down that these two had been sexually abused and were totally being corrupted in every possible way.”

A lot of crazy rumors and false info gets passed around Hollywood as fact, so who knows how much of this hearsay is true. Still, bonnets off to Arngrim for speaking on the record about a topic that has studios like Paramount making changes to their casting staff screening procedures and will continue to unfold across the media in the coming months.
