EW’s Print Mag Takes the Viral Video to a New Level

star-trek-entertainment-weekly.jpgStop the presses! Er…something. Entertainment Weekly is running a video advertisement for CBS in – wait for it – their print magazine. So instead of print going online – now online is going print?

We don’t know. We also don’t know if it’s totally awesome or a complete waste of totally awesome.

AP’s Andrew Vanacore writes:

CBS Corp. and Time Warner Inc.’s Entertainment Weekly billed the video advertisement as the first ever to appear in a print magazine. CBS says the video player insert, made by a Los Angeles company called Americhip Inc., will be able to withstand the binding processes and mail delivery.

Wait, is it technically still a print magazine after this? Or will it be a mixed medium publication from now on?
