FBLA is as jealous as a 38-year-old bridesmaid of Erin Torneo and Valerie Krause who had the good sense to collect their thoughts and memories of going stag to countless friends’ weddings and compile them into a sure-to-be-a-big-seller book, The Bridal Wave: A Survival Guide to the Everyone-I-Know-Is-Getting-Married Years.

Former Cosmopolitan editor Torneo and former advertising executive Krause, will toast their new book at 6 p.m. Saturday at Book Soup. We suggest you go and bring a toaster.

Krause tells FBLA she eventually caught the bouquet and got married but “definitely found myself drowning in the Bridal Wave in my mid 20′s.”

Torneo is single (and teaching a mediabistro.com class in NY next month).

Krause was demur when we called their idea brilliant, telling us:
“Not sure about brilliant, but it is amazing that nobody had addressed this time in a woman’s life. We have gotten a number of ‘I thought I was the only one who felt this way’ from our readers.”
