Glee Beats Beatles Billboard Chart Record

Thanks to today’s youth, this group of perky TV starlets who do cheesy covers of other people’s music now have more hits on the Billboard chart than any other band in history. Seriously. The cast of Glee has surpassed The Beatles for most songs by a non-solo act on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Until now, The Beatles held the record for non-solo acts with 71 songs on the chart. Glee has them beat with 75.

Only Elvis Presley, with 108 songs, and James Brown, with 91, are still ahead of the Glee teeny-bopper hit parade. But for how much longer?

Ah well. Rock and roll was fun while it lasted.
