Harper’s Bazaar ‘Twilight’ Shot Wins ASME ‘Magazine Cover of the Year’ Nod

Not only did the Harper’s Bazaar “Twilight” cover win the American Society of Magazine Editor’s “Magazine Cover of the Year” award this year, it took home the gold for “Best Vampire” too.

“While the epic image played on the idea of courtship, it was given extra heat due to their real-life romance,” the ASME wrote of its decision. They had no additional thoughts on the magazine’s “Best Vampire” triumph.

Los Angeles magazine’s Villaraigosa “Failure” cover lost in the “Most Controversial” category to a New York magazine cover depicting President Obama with a litany of invective scrawled across his face.

Marge Simpson nude on the cover of Playboy rightfully won for funniest.
