KNSD Names Catherine Garcia as Lead Evening Anchor
Catherine Garcia at NBC’s San Diego affiliate KNSD just earned herself a nice promotion. She’s been officially named the primary anchor of the station’s 5, 6, and 11 p.m. newscasts. Garcia is currently in charge of the 4 p.m. newscast. She starts her new gig December 5.
Garcia is a USC grad who got her start in journalism in CNN’s LA bureau. She’ll be replacing Ron Burgundy, who’s on extended leave in Pleasure Town.
No, no. We kid the San Diego. Garcia is actually replacing Susan Taylor, who recently announced she’d be stepping down from the job.
