A Tale of Two Leslie Nielsen Trailers

Even though he was 84, the late beloved Canadian-born actor Leslie Nielsen maintained a busy schedule before he became sick. In the wake of his death last month, two films featuring the performer are looking at very different scenarios.

The first, Stonerville, a low-brow live action comedy co-starring Pauly Shore, snagged an immediate DVD deal with Screen Media Films and is scheduled for release in January. The other, animated work-in-progress The Waterman Movie, has got a Paypal link up at its website soliciting donations.

Based on the trailers for both endeavors (below), we here at FishbowlLA sincerely hope Bryan Waterman raises those funds. We would much prefer Nielsen to be posthumously remembered for his “old people underpants” cartoon voice-over work rather than anything resembling the tepid oral-sex-below-desk joke that teases Stonerville.
