Nikki Finke reports that three top editors a the LAT have promised to quit on the spot if Dean Baquet is fired.

A likely-ugly Tribune Co. board meeting is taking place at this moment, and if editor Baquet gets the axe, Doug Frantz, Leo Wolinsky, and John Montorio have vowed to pull a John Carroll and leave, according to Finke.

Per LAObserved, former editor Carroll commends Baquet in this morning’s Chicago Tribune. That musta been a relaxing read before the board meeting today.
