Making a Magazine in a Weekend

The 48 Hour Magazine project launches today at noon. It’s an ambitious undertaking – to write, design, edit and ship a magazine in just two days.

The creators of the San Fransisco-based project describe it as “a raucous experiment in using new tools to erase media’s old limits” and everyone in the world is invited to participate. The theme for the issue will be announced online today at noon PST, and you’ll have until 4 p.m. tomorrow to submit your articles, photos, and illustrations. Then they’ll paste it all together and ship the finished product out to the printer at noon on May 9.

You’ll be able to view the end result at 48hrmag.com, or purchase the print version at MagCloud. And readers, if your work makes it into the mag, let us know!
