MSNBC Acquires BreakingNews.com to Match Their New Twitter Account

MSNBC bought the Twitter feed @breakingnews and now they need a website – a domain name that will be easy to remember. Perhaps breakingnews.com? Perfect.

Alan Boyle of msnbc.com (a site matching the – wait for it – network MSNBC) writes:

The digital network that includes msnbc.com on Tuesday announced the acquisition of the BreakingNews.com Web address, with the aim of creating a Web site to complement its @BreakingNews alert service on Twitter.

Strangely enough, since we’re coordinating everything to mimic, match and meld, the new website breakingnews.com, is designed to look like a Twitter page. Amazing.
