Back in April, it was announced that MTV was tapping longtime KCRW music director Nic Harcourt to become its new music supervisor in residence. Though Harcourt ceded his job as music director and host of the station’s signature music show Morning Becomes Eclectic to Jason Bentley a few years ago, he remained at the station, hosting a Sunday night music show from 6 to 9. After news of Harcourt’s new MTV gig was announced, he continued to host his radio show, and it remained to be seen whether that was going to change. Sadly, we’ve learned, it is. Sunday was Harcourt’s last show on KCRW, as he’ll be leaving to handle his new MTV gig full-time.
