Rachel McAdams pursuit getting a little bit dramatic…

A parting thought for a techno-snafu-riddled Friday: Who’ll sign Rachel McAdams?

Working non-stop in “Wedding Crashers” “Red Eye” and soon, Thomas Bezucha‘s “The Family Stone” McAdams hasn’t had an agency since she fired The Gersh Agency’s intrepid Ken Kaplan all those months ago.

And now, agency sources say, the full court press is on: Tenpercenters from United Talent, CAA, William Morris, Endeavor and ICM have all given themselves a quick Binaca Blast, checked their teeth for spinach and are snffing after McAdams like mad.

What would truly amuse me is after this week’s (and likely next’s) woo-a-thon, the independent Cannuck remained just that: Unaffiliated. Not likely, though: Insiders predict it’s either UTA or CAA.

It’s intriguing that McAdams, like the similarly without-an-agent Reese Witherspoon, is taking meetings only after leaving her agent. In this town, actors usually have the affair first, then ‘leave the wife.’

This is really refreshing, ladies.
