Report From the Downtown Art March

Wondering why Little Joy was, like, totally dead last night? It was the Downtown Art Walk, the monthly event whereby the downtown arts district is briefly transformed into Williamsburg, if you squint a little. Blogdowntown.org has a report. In case you hang out with artists, or aspire to hang out with them, and want to pretend you went to the Art Walk, I’ve excerpted bits from the author’s review of each show he saw, for easy reference:

sixspace: “The whole show has an element of depth to it.”

Iron Eye Gallery: “What I saw… was really good.”

626 Gallery: “Some interesting stuff.”

Bert Green Fine Art: “One of the most interesting shows I’ve seen.”

LACDA: “Good stuff as usual.”

the all purpose room: “The little quiche things they were serving were really good.”

Now you too can join the burgeoning LA art scene!
