Richard ‘Flash’ Johnson Drops In on Good Day LA
On this morning’s edition of Good Day LA, co-host Steve Edwards jokingly welcomed The Daily’s Richard Johnson as “Flash Johnson,” in honor of his new column name. This despite the fact that there’s nothing about the personal make-up of the former Page Six-er that suggests lightning speed.
The main topic of conversation was a controversial remark made by Susan Sarandon over the weekend to panel moderator Bob Balaban at the Hamptons International Film Festival. In the misguided spirit of Hank Williams Jr. and Lars von Trier, she attached the dreaded Nazi word to a pontiff!:
Given how laid back Johnson comes across on screen, it’s a miracle it took him so long to get to the west coast. It’s also a good move for him to do these kinds of local TV show appearances; the more LA visibility he can give The Daily’s west coast operation, the better.
