Robert Schimmel Dead at 60

Robert Schimmel was a profoundly funny man. He got a show in 2000 which was the talk of the town and then came down with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma. He did stand up through his illness just as he did stand up through his son’s illness. He was sick and it was hilarious.

He died due to a car accident Friday. His injuries were complicated by cirrhosis he contracted through a blood transfusion.

He’ll be missed by all.
