TV Reporter Sara Edwards Still Misses Boston

After many years working in Boston for outlets such as WHDH-TV and CN8, Emmy winning entertainment reporter Sara Edwards (pictured) moved back last year to her native Pasadena. She has since freelanced for Extra and NBC Los Angeles, in the latter case suffering through the Lindsay Lohan shoplifting trial.

In a recent Boston magazine blog post, the UCLA grad confessed she still misses Boston and thus makes sure to catch any Hollywood movie featuring scenes shot on location in Beantown. She also shares an interesting POV articulated to her by Boston native (and former Fear Factor host) Joe Rogan:

Maybe Rogan said it best when he told me that breaking into entertainment in LA was easy for Bostonians, thanks to their street smarts and keen senses of humor. Dealing with laid back Angelenos was like “leading lambs to slaughter,” laughed Rogan.

FishbowlLA begs to differ. Just as sure as Kevin Spacey did not star in a movie called Swimming with Guppies, the Hollywood entertainment industry is powered by more than its fair share of homegrown slaughterers. Rogan’s breezy experiences notwithstanding.
