West coast CBSNews.com contributor Shira Lazar is settling in nicely on her new weekly web program What’s Trending, streamed live every Tuesday morning from a spiffy LA loft studio underwritten by AT&T. Per the show name, the conversation is all about real-time Twitter conversations and the previous week’s most prominent hashtags.

On yesterday’s edition, in-studio guests were YouTube entertainer Shay Carl (The Shaytards) and Digital Royalty celeb PR firm founder Amy Jo Martin. Topics discussed included “horsemaning,” the latest photo meme to come on the heels of planking and owling:

It’s a lively, fun show. Lazar’s managing editor, Michelle Castillo, is a graduate of Columbia’s journalism school, while other contributors include writer-director Brett Register and CNN freelancer Melissa Jun Rowley. On yesterday’s show, Morgan Spurlock also beamed in via remote video to discuss his latest Hulu efforts.
