The 2012 Golden Globe Menu is Truly Golden

With the 2012 Golden Globe Awards airing this weekend, here’s the lowdown on the menu for Sunday night:

• Guests will receive mini bottles of Moet & Chandon on the red carpet. Alcohol + celebrities + empty stomach = good television.
• At the table, Moet & Chandon’s Grand Vintage 2002 will be served.
• Beverly Hilton Hotel executive chef Suki Sugiura will serve a three course meal featuring a combination entree of braised prime short rib of beef and sea bass marinated in miso from Sendai, Japan
• Executive pastry chef Thomas Henzi will serve a chocolate almond crunch terrine with acacia honey, caramel and fresh berries for dessert. This is the United Nations of desserts as the chocolate (Switzerland), acacia honey caramel (France), Tarragon hazelnuts (Italy) and Valencia almond paste (Spain) will be flown in.
• And finally, each dessert plate will feature 23-carat edible gold flakes. Money has never tasted so good before.
