The Crying Girl on American Idol: Richard Rushfield Cheers Her Up
American Idol introduced the country to the crying girl. Richard Rushfield introduced himself to her, and discovers that she’s a 13 year-old from Riverside named Ashley. She likes Sanjaya, Melinda, Gina and Jordin.
Rushfield tries to bully her in to picking just one, but she’s too tough for him. TWOP called her Little Miss Sobshine. FBLA wonders if maybe she was a Kinks fan and was crying at what Sanjaya did to that song. Ray Davies, he ain’t.
Nancy Flanagan is a music teacher, and she thinks American Idol is just dreadful. She’s also discovered that people can be rude. Maybe she likes Sanjaya, too because we can’t explain why he’s still around.
