Why Can’t the LA Times Hire that Nice Lloyd Grove?

FBLA is deeply puzzled. Why did the brain-trust at the LA Times have Lloyd Grove write an op-ed about being a gossip columnist–when the paper doesn’t have such a thing?

Grove’s now fiddling around at Gawker, as a guest. Couldn’t the LA Times have made him an offer, at least?

Seems pretty obvious to us, but then, what do we know? The LA Times must have a good reason for not having a gossip column. Oh, yeah–people might read it. Can’t have that.
