BuzzFeed Names National Editor, Guardian US Expands

  • Adam Serwer is joining BuzzFeed as its new national editor. Serwer was most recently a reporter for MSNBC. He previously worked for Mother Jones. BuzzFeed’s deputy editor-in-chief Shani Hilton told Poynter Serwer will work on “stories that matter to our country.”
  • Dominic Rushe, Alex Needham and Oliver Laughland are all joining Guardian US. Rushe will serve as technology editor, east coast. He was most recently a US business correspondent for The Guardian. Needham will serve as arts editor. He was a former culture editor for theguardian.com. Laughland will serve as a senior reporter. He was most recently a reporter for Guardian Australia.
