WNYW Keeps its Distance at 10 P.M., as Greg Kelly Marks One-Month

Today is the one-month milestone for Greg Kelly as WNYW/Channel 5 lead anchor. To paraphrase, former Mayor Koch, “How’s he doing?” You’ll get a chance to vote after the jump.

But a slightly more scientific “poll,” the Nielsen ratings for July, show WNYW in front at night. In the Household breakdown, Channel 5 averaged a 2.4 to WPIX/Channel 11′s 1.6. While WPIX saw no gain, the 2012 July sweeps marked a .3 drop for WNYW from last year.

Among the key Adults 25 to 54 demographic, WNYW saw no improvement at 10 p.m. with Kelly and Dari Alexander, although WPIX slipped .1. Of course, WNYW has the established Fox prime time lead-in, even in the summer. Channel 11 has the weaker CW lineup.

Last week, we reported WPIX edged WNYW in the morning race.
