Time Inc. Might Pay Staffers to Stay

Time Inc. is currently considering paying important members of its staff to stay on once the company’s spinoff from Time Warner is complete. Ad Age reports that the publishing giant isn’t quite sure how many people will be offered a payment or how much it will be, but it wants to keep people from jumping ship.

Apparently the threat of being acquired by Meredith spooked so many Time Inc. staffers that the “stay bonuses” became a topic of discussion.

A spokesperson for Time Warner told Ad Age, ”We’re currently working through these and other considerations as we look to put Time Inc. in the best position to succeed as a separate, publicly traded company.”
