2:45 pm - 3:30 pm In Search of the Cash Cow: Corporate Freelancing and Branded Journalism Freelancers long for recurring gigs that pay handsomely for moderate levels of work. Corporate freelancing satisfies both of these criteria. This workshop, led by long-time corporate freelancer Matt Villano, will investigate the pros and cons of creating content for private and non-profit companies, and will delve into how to obtain these jobs, how to hold on to them, and how to steer clear of the politics that sometimes characterize life in an office environment. The presentation also will touch upon why corporate work has such a stigma in some circles, and what freelancers can do to combat this.
