About 100 AP employees in news, technology and business have taken buyouts, the company said. Reporter Richard Pyle and Senior White House Photographer Ron Edmonds were among the staffers who accepted the offer, which included a lump sum payment of $500 for each year of service, along with a pension increase.
The company’s offer was extended to all eligible US-based AP employees.
