A new report from CareerBuilder says that hiring is expected to remain strong after a busy first quarter this year.

According to the report, 28 percent of employers expect to hire full-time employees during the second quarter of 2011, the highest hiring level since the first quarter of 2008.

“While employers are keeping a close eye on world events, their confidence levels in regard to recruitment have remained intact,” said Matt Ferguson, CEO of CareerBuilder, in a statement. “Job listings on CareerBuilder are up across all categories, from health care and technology to manufacturing. The survey points to continued, measured gains over the next three months. As the nation moves toward greater financial stability, more employers are investing in talent for the long-term.”
