Conde Might Close Mags Anyway

Remember that whole “Condé Nast won’t close any magazines” song and dance? Just kidding. We’re now hearing that top management is considering closing the titles that would suffer too much from a 25 percent cut.

Details for example only has 35 staffers on the editorial side. The New York Observer suggests that a 25 percent cut could be “quite damaging” to a magazine already that small.

Decisions don’t have to be made until the end of January, which is the end of Condé’s fiscal year.
