Forbes.com CEO Resigns

Forbes.com CEO Jim Spanfeller announced his resignation last night, paidContent reports, and confirmed it this morning in a memo Forbes CEO Steve Forbes sent to employees.

Spanfeller spent the last nine years at the helm of the finance site and is now leaving to found his own company, a “media management business that will help other traditional media companies make the most of their enormous prospects in digital venues,” according to the memo. No replacement has been named.

Spanfeller says he plans to stay on through Labor Day to assist with the transition.
