So perhaps you have already heard that a former unpaid intern at Harper’s Bazaar is suing Hearst for violating wage and hour laws by having interns work 40+ hours a week. Perhaps you may not have heard that Xuedan Wang, the plaintiff, says on her website that her ” long-term professional ambition is to become the creative director of Harper’s Bazaar.” Hrm….
Update: Unsurprisingly, her site is no longer available, whether because it was overwhelmed by traffic or because Wang took it down after the media attention began piling on.
