Gannett Broadcast Division Slapped With 4-6% Pay Cuts
Gannett Broadcast division president David Lougee has distributed a memo announcing pay cuts of four to six percent, effective July 1.
Gannett operates 23 stations across the country.
MinnPost’s David Brauer posts the memo, as Minneapolis/St. Paul’s KARE11 is one of the stations affected.
The cuts come after two weeks of furloughs (for an effective 4 percent pay cut) were thrown at Gannett’s broadcast employees.
Any non-contract employee earning $50,000 or more is taking, then, a 10 percent salary reduction, Can you say ouch?
