Hey, Internships Still Work!
Everyone, including us, is shouting about how “the old models are broken.” Nobody starts at the bottom of a career ladder and works his way from mailroom grunt to CEO anymore. It’s all bloggy book deals, instant fame, and self-branding.
Right?
TVNewser found one success story that proves the old models aren’t dead.
CNN’s chief business correspondent Ali Velshi interned at CNN’s Crossfire and in the Paris bureau of 60 Minutes.
Our favorite quote from the profile, though, is one that has nothing to do with his job:
“I have no angles on my face,” Velshi laments. “I look like a boiled egg.”
