Layoffs And Buyouts At MaineToday

MaineToday Media, which purchased the Portland Press Herald, Kennebec Journal, Morning Sentinel and their respective Web sites last year, cut up to 60 positions last week, reports.

According to DownEast, the bulk of the layoffs were in circulation and distribution, but one Web producer took a buyout and so did a number of the Web sales staff.
