Here’s some good news, a new magazine is going to be appearing on newsstands this month. Delta—you know the airline—is launching a new in-flight magazine. Along with giving away free copies on every flight, 15,000 copies will be available on more than 2,500 newsstands across America, including Barnes & Noble and Borders. The cost is $3.99
WWD reports a spokesperson from the company believes that since the magazine will cover lifestyle, travel and business, the airline feels people will want to access it in the months they aren’t traveling.
At the helm of the magazine is Jayne Haugen Olson. Formerly a senior editor for Mpls.St.Paul’s Magazine Jayne wrote and edited articles on home, retail, and lifestyle features. She is a frequent contributor to local radio and television programs on these and other trend topics.
The inaugural issue features Heidi Klum on the cover and has a total of 132 pages, with 40 ad pages, 61 edit pages and 31 Delta information pages. In this economy it’s exciting to see any new magazines on the shelves. Even if it is just a vehicle to publicize an airline!
