Reuters Combines Divisions, Seeks New Staff

Thomson Reuters is merging its Professional Division’s news team with Reuters to create “one single and powerful news source” as new editor-in-chief Stephen Adler put it in a memo, obtained by Talking Biz News.

The merger also “adds immediate value and insight to our file, and positions Reuters as an essential resource for all the professionals we serve across the legal, tax & accounting, and healthcare & science industries.”

Adler added that the company has “immediate plans to add reporters and editors to expand coverage in these important sectors.”
