RNC Hires Ex-Microsoftie For Social Media

Who says Republicans are old-fashioned? The RNC has hired Todd Herman, formerly General Manager of Media Strategy at Microsoft, to the position of New Media Director.

Herman joins the RNC after a stint at the Seattle-based startup he co-founded, SpinSpotter, which lets users flag supposed bias in news articles. The ex-talk radio host previously worked for five years at Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) and MSNBC Interactive.

He will begin April 6.
