Melina Gerosa Bellows, editor-in-chief of National Geographic Kids, has been promoted to chief creative officer at NG Kids & Family. She will “work collaboratively across all NGGM units engaged in developing and producing kids- and family-oriented products” including games, entertainment and digital media. She has two young children herself, minonline notes, which should make the job easier.

CP+B has hired two new staff in Boulder, Jens McNaughton as interactive ACD and Chean Wei Law as interactive design director.

MySpace has snagged itself a new PR chief in the form of Rosabel Tao, PRNewser reports. Tao has worked for Golin Harris, Weber Shandwick and Fleishman-Hillard before founding her own consulting firm.
