Employees at KXLY-4 (ABC) in Spokane were given a devil’s choice yesterday: Take a furlough or a pay cut, the Inlander reports. News Director Jerry Post tells the Inlander that this move will save eight jobs.
Perhaps they should have instituted furloughs in Madison, Wisconsin, where CBS affiliate WISC-TV (Ch. 3) laid off six employees, including two on-air newscasters, an anchor and a sports reporter.
