WaPo Pundit Contest Draws Nearly 5,000 Entrants

The Washington Post’s American-Idol-style America’s Next Great Pundit contest is closed to entries but has drawn almost 4,800 submissions.

The contest drew a small amount of flack from the blogosphere for the low-ish pay ($2600 for 13 columns) and its “cheesy” reality-TV-style format, but…oh hell, just look at this Two Dudes & A Webcam take on the whole thing. It’s funny because it’s true..now we have to go find a dark corner to weep in.
